I will dominate 'credible boxer' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be streamed live on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.

Ex twice unified heavyweight champion Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Mindset

"I plan to damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to genuinely try to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of these statements, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British rival Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Opponent

Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the novice remains one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, frequently receiving massive financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would stop the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently in the works for 2026.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Difference

As the two fighters participated in the usual face-off, with their size difference evident, it highlighted just how surprising this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is really proceeding.
